Lovell has been appointed by social landlord River Clyde Homes to carry out a £3.3 million housing programme to transform 880 homes in Inverclyde, Scotland.
The internal refurbishment work will introduce a range of improvements for homes across the Inverclyde area to ensure that they meet the Scottish Housing Quality Standard. The upgrading work will vary depending on the individual property, but will include measures such as the installation of new kitchens and bathrooms and rewiring of homes.
Lovell, which was chosen for the scheme through a competitive tendering process, will carry out a 40-week programme of work for properties across Inverclyde.
Specialist Lovell resident liaison officers will work closely with residents before, during and after the improvement work which is set to start at the end of June 2012.
In addition to transforming the properties earmarked for improvement, Lovell will also seek to create other benefits for local neighbourhoods by supporting community projects and working with local organisations including schools and colleges.
Lovell, which also specialises in new-build development, recently completed 195 new homes for River Clyde Homes at three sites in Port Glasgow.
