CBRE Welcomes New Property And Asset Management MD

CBRE has announced that Andy Hay has been appointed to the new role of Managing Director of Property and Asset Management for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Richard Williams has been appointed as the company’s UK Managing Director of Property and Asset Management.

The senior appointments support the recent significant growth of this part of CBRE’s business and the anticipated future demand for these services across the region.

Andy Hay, based in London, has been with CBRE since 2006, during which time he has led the company’s UK Asset Management business. He will now be responsible for further developing CBRE’s fast-growing cross-border asset management services, with a focus on clients and opportunities across the EMEA region.

CBRE currently manages 140 million sq ft of commercial space in the UK and enjoyed a record year in 2011, winning a number of high-value mandates including an appointment with PRUPIM to manage its 45 million sq ft UK portfolio.

Richard Williams will continue to build upon these recent UK successes, overseeing all of CBRE’s property and asset management services across the UK. He is joined by David King, recently recruited from Capita Symonds, who as Executive Director of UK Property and Asset Management will manage the extension of CBRE’s existing UK client relationships.

Michael Strong, Chairman & CEO – EMEA, CBRE, said: "With the growth in property management outsourcing set to continue, we are in a very strong position to support our growing client base both in the UK and across the EMEA region. We believe these appointments will further enable us to replicate our recent successes, which included the historic agreement with PRUPIM in 2011, the largest real estate outsourcing mandate to come to market in the UK."

Andy Hay, EMEA Managing Director of Property and Asset Management, CBRE, said: "I am tremendously excited by the opportunity to lead our EMEA property and asset management business. We are looking forward to building our client relationships, continuing to deliver the highest standards of advice, and driving further growth in this sector. Growing our property and asset management team highlights our overall commitment to providing the best depth and quality of service in key market sectors for our clients."
