Residents Invited To Submit Views On Paisley's Heritage Regeneration Plans

Residents in Renfrewshire are being invited to submit their views on two planning documents for Paisley's built heritage.

Consultation events for the Paisley Town Centre Conservation Area Draft Character Appraisal and the Draft Management Plan are scheduled to take place at the end of this month and into the beginning of February.

Renfrewshire Council Leader, Iain Nicolson, said the events give residents a chance to find out how the local authority delivers heritage-led regeneration in the town "with a view to bringing a range of social, environmental and economic benefits".


"This is a chance for the people of Paisley and Renfrewshire to help shape how we continue to safeguard the stunning architecture and heritage of our town for future generations," he said.

The exhibitions will take place at the Lagoon Leisure Centre from 22 – 28 January and at Paisley Central Library from 30 January - 02 February.

Members of the project team will be available to answer questions from the public at the following consultation sessions:

Lagoon Leisure Centre

• Tuesday, 23 January - 12pm - 3pm

• Thursday, 25 January - 4pm - 7pm

Paisley Central Library

• Tuesday, 30 January - 12pm - 3pm

• Thursday, 01 February - 4pm – 7pm
