Graham Construction has began building a new £8.2 million health centre project in West Lothian.
The Blackburn Partnership Centre is being delivered next to the Mill Centre in partnership with the council, NHS Lothian and hub South East Scotland. It will be open to the public in late 2017.
The project is part of a £27.6 million programme of NHS Lothian works and is the second of three NHS Lothian health centres to break ground.
Features of the facility will include a new GP practice, a community health centre, a dentist and a community centre as well as a sports hall, an IT training suite and multi-purpose, early years and young people's spaces.
In addition, a library, a Customer Information Service (CIS) centre and an employability service and credit union will be developed.
GRAHAM Construction regional development director, Craig Bridges, said: "This state-of-the- art facility will be a real attribute to people in the West Lothian region and an excellent addition to local health services.
"The Blackburn Partnership project will create an accessible centre for the community, the second of three we will be completing in partnership with Hub South East Scotland and NHS Lothian. We have significant experience of delivering modern health-care projects across Scotland and are pleased to be reaching this important milestone."
