Our unique facilities and expertise enable us to:
- Design lighting schemes and source luminaires.
- Design specialist luminaires, optical systems, reflectors and refractors in 3D CAD.
- Simulate the performance of luminaires and lighting layouts from CAD models.
- Test product performance at the design stage and also for Quality Assurance pre-installation sampling.
- Verify completed installations (site surveys).

Laboratory testing facilities:
- 42 Partners operate a laboratory offering independent photometric testing services to British and international standards including BS5225, EN13032, CIE24, CIE27.
- Photometric testing of luminaires, floodlights and streetlights, emergency lighting, light emitting diodes (LED) and lamps.
- Photometric data can be presented in various formats including CIBSE TM5 and TM10, CIE29.
- Photometric performance can be analysed in accordance with various requirements including CIBSE LG3, LG7, DIN5040.
- Photometric data files can be produced in various formats including EU-LUM, CIBSE TM14, IES-NA LM63.
Agents for RELUX lighting design software.
ReluxProfessional
A calculation and lighting design program used to predict the illuminance produced by luminaires and daylight.
There is no charge for the download, registration or use of ReluxProfessional, all that is required is that you register your details with Relux when you download it.
ReluxVision
A plug-in ray trace visualisation package for Relux Professional used to determine the visual effects of materials used in a lighting installation.
Relux Vision can be downloaded and used free of charge, but a large disfiguring 'X' is inserted across all outputs unless the program is licensed.
ReluxCAD
A plug-in interface for AutoCAD that allows the transfer of projects to and from ReluxProfessional.
ReluxCAD can be downloaded and used free of charge for 30 days, after which it will cease to function until a license key is entered.
ReluxCAD requires the full version of AutoCAD, it will not work with AutoCAD LT because AutoCAD LT does not have a programming interface and so cannot accept plug-ins, this is one of the reasons why AutoCAD LT is so much cheaper than the full version of the program. AutoCAD LT is advertised as being suitable for users who 'do not need to customise their software through automation' with plug-in such as ReluxCAD.
ReluxLumEdit
A program used to view and edit luminaire data.
LumEdit can be downloaded and used as a viewer free of charge, in order to upgrade from a 'read only' to an 'edit' version, a license key must be entered.
ReluxLumToPic
A program to generate polar curve images in picture format (BMP, JPEG or TIFF, EMS and EPS) from luminaire data in Eulum or IES format. Helpful when compiling technical documentation or product catalogues.
